The property is fine with good amenities but the staff is not helpful enoughsubmitted by Suneetha J. - |Recommended: NoNeutral
response from property -Hi Suneetha, Thank you for taking the time to review our community. We are happy to hear that overall you enjoy calling the Meridian home however, but we are disappointed that your recent experience with our team has been less than pleasant. Our Property Manager would like the opportunity to speak with you further regarding your review and the concerns you have. Please contact him at 202-962-0010 at your earliest opportunity. We look forward to speaking with you soon. Sincerely, Ashleigh N.
Nice to try submitted by Uzoma N. - |Recommended: YesGood experience for one who has just moved to DC. Super convenient. Some of the front desk staff are better than others. Parking is usually available even to buy passes for visitors. Coffee machine is nice even though its often out of order. Rooftop and club room should stay open later.
This is a great property. We love it so much we are hoping to secure a larger unit in near future.submitted by William K. - |Recommended: YesThis is a well ran building. I very much appreciate the efficiency of the leasing staff as well as the always helpful and friendly front desk staff. Feeling blessed to have found such a great place to live.
Great Apartment Complex With Questionable Decisionsubmitted by Andrew E. - |Recommended: YesOverall, the apartment is a great place to live. Great location, great amenities, and wonderful staff. However, a series of decisions over the last year have overwhelmingly been anti-resident -Charging residents for guest pool passes -Refusing to accept large packages -Eliminating 24 7 free coffee -Implementing trash fee -Reducing number of pool guests from 2 per resident to 2 per apartment, despite number of residents in apartment. When guests come to visit and enjoy an amenity, I always feel obligated to give them the caveat that the amenity might be eliminated or pay to use in the near future.
response from property -Thank you for giving us a four star review and we are glad to hear that overall you enjoy calling the Meridian home. We are happy to offer complimentary gourmet coffee to our residents every day from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. During the weekend hours only, there is a fee for a guest pool pass, however the rooftop lounge is open to all residents and their guests at no extra charge. By charging a fee on the weekend, the property can ensure that all our residents may enjoy the amenity space without overcrowding. We accept all packages but request that over-sized packages or packages over 50 pounds, be arranged with prior authorization at the front desk so that we can allow the shipping vendor access to put the package directly in the apartment. We hope this helps clarify any confusion about our amenities and policies. If you would like to discuss these concerns in further detail please reach out to our Property Manager at 202-962.0010.

Poor response to noise complaints submitted by Fili T. - |Recommended: NoI've lived here since June 2015 and while there are good things about the apartment, the negative experience I've had with how management responds to noise complaints makes me wish I did not renew my lease. The worst part about this apartment are the neighbors who blast music. I have woken up to music as early as 5am and have been kept up as late as 1am. After contacting my neighbor at least 6 times, I took it up with management. I have contacted management several times but the problem persists. Management has stopped communicating with me. The apartment building itself looks nice so it has that going for it. But don't rent here if you don't like noise. The walls are paper thin.
response from property -Hi Fili, We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns with us and for allowing us the opportunity to respond. We understand the noise from neighboring apartments can be a nuisance and apologize for any inconvenience the noise may have caused. We ask that our residents report any disturbances to the front desk at the time of occurrence so that they can be addressed immediately. Our Property Manager has reached out to you to discuss this issue and we hope that moving forward you will not have the same experience. If you would like to discuss it further please reach back out to our team at 202-962-0010. Sincerely, Ashleigh N.
It's my Happy Placesubmitted by Mary D. - |Recommended: YesThe neighborhood convenience, the helpful, professional staff, the responsive maintenance and general upkeep, and all the amenities make Meridian MVT a great place to live. The apartment layouts are well thought out and very comfortable. It's pet friendly, I have a cat , secure, and close to Metro, bus routes, and 395. It's great city living

Great place to livesubmitted by Connor R. - |Recommended: YesLiving here is living made easy. Great location, friendly staff, and great amenities. I could not have picked a better place to live
Beautiful property clean, comfortable, secure, and well-managed.submitted by Kalina K. - |Recommended: YesFrom what I observed, living here is comfortable, secure, and accessible to any amenities one may require.
Convenient downtown location, modern amenities, helpful staff, and good value.submitted by Brandon H. - |Recommended: YesPhase II is the newer building and includes the gym if that is of importance to you. Phase I is older, but is still modern and has the pool on top of it. The rooftop is easy to reach from both buildings. Be sure to visit the apartments both during the week and on the weekends. Some units closer to New York Avenue may be noisier than you think. Overall, Meridian Mount Vernon Place has provided a pleasant living experience. Note I ranked the parking as neutral' because we don't have a car and haven't used the parking garage yet. Also, I gave four stars for noise and by that I meant we don't hear our neighbors often, so noise has not been a problem to date.
Amazingsubmitted by Caitlin A. - |Recommended: YesNo complaints about the apartment Love it.
Maintenance is very responsivesubmitted by Michael B. - |Recommended: YesAndre showed up the next work day and fixed my wide variety of issues, including one I had not made a request for.
Horrible Management submitted by Emily M. - |Recommended: NoThis place is incredibly poorly managed. The property itself is nice and the maintenance staff is great. However, the number of mistakes that have happened and the true lack of concern or interest in correcting those mistakes is astounding. Most recently, I received a call from my dog walker that cleaners had arrived to clean my apartment. I was alarmed to hear this because I do not have cleaners. Not only had the front desk allowed them access but they gave the cleaners a spare key. Despite claiming to have a strict policy for granting access, the front desk granted access without my filling out a form or verbal consent of any kind. Furthermore, I called the leasing office. The agent was deeply uninterested in helping me resolve the situation. When my dog walker was able to determine what happened, the cleaners had the wrong apartment number , both the front desk woman and leasing agent were completely unapologetic. I asked the leasing agent what are the actual policies and rules for allowing a third party access to my apartment. He said I am not really sure what the rules are, I can transfer you to the front desk. The front desk was just as uninterested in helping me get to the bottom of this issue to prevent it from happening again. How do building staff who grant access to apartments not know the building's access policies I requested to have someone who did know something contact me to prevent further unauthorized entries and still awaiting a response. As I mentioned, this is far from the first issue I have had with staff. Other mistakes I have encountered include being told conflicting information about cancelation policies on the guest suite rental agreements and being out 200, having legitimate people with the proper authorization forms filled out denied entry to my apartment, misplacing packages that I have proved were delivered but never logged into building system only to discover them in a second package room a week later, being denied therapy dog status in violation of federal law, losing important paperwork and needing to sign the same from multiple times. I understand mistakes happen however there is a major attitude issue that goes along with these mistakes. Unless the management company changes this, I would never recommend this building.

We strive to provide excellent customer service and are dismayed to hear that we did not meet or exceed your expectations .Although you have already spoken to our property manager regarding your concerns, please do not hesitate to contact him directly at 202-962-0010 should you need further assistance.
