Excellent with one exception|Recommended: YesI love living at the Meridian. However, I find that the majority of the time that I go to the front desk of my building II there is no one there. Also, the coffee machines are frequently broken, often both at the same time. These things are fairly minor and my experience has overall been great though I feel that I would likely be more concerned about noise if I didn't live at the very end of my hallway.

I love it |Recommended: YesIt's a very nice, modern looking aesthetic. All appliances are modern and work very well. My particular room is a bit of an odd meaning unconventional layout, but very spacious. My favorite parts are the common spaces though. Lots of nooks all around the building to sit and work. The rooftop garden and pool are really what sold me on the place. And the gym is the second best gym I've ever used, which is saying quite a lot for an apartment complex gym.
Meridian is a great community to live. Everyone is very friendly and the amenities are top-notch |Recommended: YesWonderful community to live in DC Beautiful lobby, shared spaces and rooftop lounge pool areas. The apartments have great quality, real wood cabinets and high-end fixtures. One of the best if not the best, we looked for a while price points for a luxury building in DC.

Apartment Review|Recommended: NoThis has been the worst experience I have had living in an apartment in numerous different locations throughout the country. I paid for amenities that are always broken including the coffee machine and the firepit. I have had to submit maintanance requests repeatedly due to the low quality of appliances. Most importantly, the noise level is unacceptable. I can hear my neighbors base blasting at all different times during the day. While this is certainly an issue with the level of their music, it appears that it is a bigger issue with the walls. I have spent times at other Meridian complexes and this one is the lowest quality and has the thinest walls.

Too Loud, Too Much Like A Dorm|Recommended: NoThe building is nice however I simply cannot recommend the building to anyone and I will celebrate like it's new year's when my lease ends. Someone manages to wake me up every 10 days or so. I mean the noise occurs between midnight and four AM. No residents seem to know about the quiet hours in the lease they signed- poor communication. I am constantly hearing- music, drunk people in the halls talking, drunk people in the halls on cell phones, other residents having 25 or more drunk people in their apartments. The front of the building is littered with red solo cups, beer cans, beer bottles frequently on the weekends and excessively on holidays. It is not uncommon to see vomit in common spaces, spilled alcohol, cigarette butts strewn about. I would not recommend that a death row inmate live in this building as it would be cruel and unusual punishment. Living here is like living in a Frat House or a college dorm. I have been woken up three separate times in the past ten days for reference. Many calls to the leasing office have yielded no relief. I'm exploring options to leave the facility.

Good so far. . .|Recommended: YesI have been here over a year and things have been well. My only complaint is people who deface the elevators or behave poorly late at night. Also, I had an issue with a neighbor's dog barking incessantly. As far as everything else, it's been a pleasant experience. I've never heard my neighbors while in my actual apartment.

Nice building in an increasingly in-demand neighborhood|Recommended: YesPros - new building, fairly large units, plenty of parking available very dog friendly front desk staff are usually very helpful and courteous with some exceptions great gym pool would be great if it were ever available for residents to use see below - a select few residents invite 10s of friends each, meaning that I've never actually used my own pool Cons - frat house tendencies, with plenty of students throwing raucous parties, destroying public spaces, leaving debris and vomiting in common areas property manager has been reactive and very much hands-off on addressing these issues, even as they threaten to alienate other residents. during peak move-in times, front desk is noticeably understaffed - the employees are so busy trying to oversee move-in processes that they are entirely absent from the desk itself, posing inconvenience at best and security risks as worst. maintenance - leasing office - front desk triage is also laughable - I've submitted several service requests, and I've had to micromanage the communications on every single one of them, for fear of people entering my apartment at inappropriate times, etc. Finally - no recycling units on individual floors, which is an enormous pain and honestly leads to people recycling less.

We should have done a better job of informing you about lead times for your work orders and then coordinating what time would work best for you to complete the work. We will make the necessary changes in the future to ensure that does not happen again. We want to assure you that we take your concerns very seriously and are working on ways to improve our resident experience from all angles. For next pool season, we anticipate moving towards a pool pass system which would require all residents to present a pool pass and would limit the number of guests allowed. We are also evaluating an automated package system to relieve some of the package delivery congestion from the front desk and make it more convenient for our residents to retrieve their packages. Great property some immature residents|Recommended: YesOverall, we are very happy with the apartment, maintenance has been great so far, but we thankfully haven't had major issues. We do sense that some residents get a little out of hand during partying hours. We see damages ex 1 elevator has large scratch marks after an evening of fun, when people spill things, they don't clean them up . The new rules for the roof deck have improved how crowded the space is and are much appreciated. One major complaint for now is the dog that lives above us CONSTANTLY is barking. For example today, the dog has been barking since at least 8 am more or less nonstop . As someone who works from home, this is quite annoying for so many hours. Lastly, the packaging system could be improved. The front desk attendants spend hours literally each day logging in packages and are unavailable to help residents during this time. Only having one person during this time is not a great option. I realize its not the attendants fault. In other luxury buildings I have lived in, the package room was separate with a full time attendant and the doorman front desk people were full time as well. Just a possible recommendation way to improve.

Positive Experience at Meridian Mt. Vernon Triangle|Recommended: YesThis is a very nice place to live, with all of the key amenities one would desire in an apartment complex. At times, it can be crowded and noisy in common areas, but this is to be expected. The staff is fantastic and the grounds are impeccably. I look forward to continuing my time here at the Meridian.
The worst residenital experience of my life.|Recommended: YesI would say the living here was a horrible experience. It's like living in a dorm, where on Thursday-Sunday you see nothing but drunk people in the evening trashing common areas. The leasing office does a POOR job of enforcing their rules for the common areas. On a few of the many occasions that common areas were trashed I photographed the mess that was left and provided them to Tim, the property manager, who long story short said he would follow up with me and take care of the situation with his ideas . Sure enough, I never heard back from him I am happy to provide again nor did he manage to resolve any of the issues. There was one day that I was walking my guest off of the property when a resident decided to throw his her can of beer from the rooftop terrace which missed me by 2 feet. Some of the security guards who watch the rooftop certainly have a good time drinking with residents. The people who work in the front desk Phase II , with the exception of the lady who works during the day and Kim who both are wonderful , are worthless at their jobs. It's common to see the lady who works the early morning shift asleep cuddling and using the laptop as a pillow.
