Everyone I've met has been friendly and willing to share the grill space, thankfully . The staff has almost always been helpful to me. One thing that has gotten frustrating is that they've locked the interior stairwell doors, so I'm forced to take the elevator to my 2nd floor apartment. I don't know if that's permanent, but it is pretty annoying both to me and to my neighbors, who I'm sure are judging me for taking the elevator up only one floor.

Noise from neighbors can get a little loud and maintenance can sometimes take too long but anytime I talk to management it is immediately fixed. By the way, Kimberly is a great concierge person too, always happy and polite
submitted by Fergus O. - |Recommended: YesOverall good -- sloppy appearance at times — Overally I am happy but for the intense traffic noise sirens in the area worst Ive ever experienced and I used to live in the center of NYC 27 yrs . My major beef as far as the buidling is the roof deck and signs on doors. I have mentioned to management and it was corrected briefly. Whoever is in charge of posting signs on doors should be spoken to. They are using double sided painters tape to stick signs on doors and it looks incredibly cheap and unsightly. Why ruin the appearance of a building with a poorly posted sign They are all over the place. I am happy that they have limited users to the roof top it was like a frat party all summer long and I missed the umbrellas. I am glad you have two but dont think two is enough. The sun is harsh up there and most of the area is exposed -- hence discouraging those who know about the dangers of sun exposure. I am retired and Id love to be able to spend more time up there. The pool area is particularly lacking in shade. Also I am astonished that the closet area at the side entrance to the pool is still unfinished. It's been spackled months ago but notthing has been done since. I dont know what your plans are re. this space but I hope you can get it taken care of soon. I just hate to see a beautiful space compromised in this way. The gym is excellent but is missing some key pieces of equipment -- a calf machine standing calf machines take up next to no space and what is called a smith machine. A SMITH machine is the most essential piece of equipment for any gym -- u can do squats legs and all kinds of chest and shoulder work while taking up a minimum amount of space. A few 45 pound plates is all you need. If you had this we would need to pay for other gyms -- Id love to be able to work out in my own backyard rather than have to pay 90 bux a month for a gym membership. I see that you have dedicated a whole new area to a fitness studio no weights . It seems to me that those who like to work out with weights research has proven that it is the best actifvity for both mind memory, health and body ... have not been fully considered especially in light of the fact that you have a lot of space dedicated. We agree that the area near the side entrance to the pool needs to be completed and that work is being scheduled with the appropriate personnel. In the near future, our plan is to provide residents with electronic notifications so that we can eliminate paper signs as we agree that posting signs to doors is not the best way to communicate and/or present information. submitted by Ryan D. - |Recommended: NoConvenient, but extremely pricey. — Could have used better materials and finishes during construction. Extremely noisy compared to other apartments in the area. Caters more to a demographic of college kids to adults in their mid-20's just starting out. Not great for families. Felt like living in a college dorm at times.
submitted by Jesse M. - |Recommended: Yes3 Great Years — We lived at the Meridian MVT for 3 years - our first apartment as a married couple. For the first two years we chose to not have a car and walked a very short distance to either Mount Vernon Square or Gallery Place metro. There is a Safeway grocery store across the street and lots of stores and restaurants a short walk away. The 14th floor is awesome. The addition of the Phase II building brought a great roof-top sitting area including a pool, propane grills and fireplaces as well as a nice big flat screen TV. It has a great view of the Washington Monument as well as the US Capitol Building dome. The front desk and office personnel are fantastic. The maintenance folks are equally good. We rarely had an issue, but when we did, the online trouble call service was easy and repairs were made within hours When we needed to finally get a car, the garage always had spots and we never had to shovel snow Great building with lots of amenities, spectacular people and would recommend to anyone

submitted by Megan T. - |Recommended: YesThe properly is great. Very stylish, clean and has all the amenities I need. — Overall, the other residents are pretty friendly. It's a very dog friendly complex. The roof deck is by far my favorite aspect of living here.

submitted by Kathlyn E. - |Recommended: YesGreat Location, Fun Community — Staff is generally quite helpful, the location is close to lots of metro and bus stops plus is quite walk-able. The community is very nice, lots of dogs and young couples live here. There are amazing amenities that you can't beat, including pool and rooftop grills with lounge areas, inside lounge areas both on the top and bottom floors, great gym facilities, coffee and tea, and others. The apartment hosts events such as breakfasts, themed parties, and other activities for residents which is nice and always fun.

submitted by Gabriella Z. - |Recommended: YesNice spot — Biggest concern is that because it is a dog friendly property, sometimes the main hallway downstairs reeks of sweaty dog. Also - for downstairs residents there needs to be a better way for them to get notifications from the property manager since they don't ride the elevator where the notices are posted

submitted by Ka H. - |Recommended: YesStaff need to be more proactive in dealing with late night noise — Especially those crowds that gathered outside the front door waiting for their ride home, or cars that pulled over at the front door and blast music so loud that the whole block can hear. It's hard to go to bed early on weekends and not get woken up by noise a few hours later.
